In Rome, the feast of our foundress, Mother Th\u00e9r\u00e8se Couderc, was celebrated in our chapel. This year, the celebration had a very special significance: it was marked both by the presence of our founder\u2019s grandniece, Pascale, accompanied by her husband Daniel, and by the unveiling of a work of art created to mark the bicentenary of our Congregation. <\/p>

After the entrance hymn and the sign of the cross, Sister V\u00e9ronique explained what had inspired us to commission this artwork. The painting was then unveiled in front of the altar. Intended to be installed soon on the exterior wall of our chapel, it was placed at the center of the celebration so that everyone could take the time to contemplate it. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Reproductions of the artwork had also been displayed on the chapel walls. After a brief time of sharing with our neighbors in the pews, we were able to learn about the artist\u2019s intentions and the various symbols present in his creation. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The artist, who was unfortunately absent that day, was nonetheless present through an audio message in which he explained his creative process and the meaning of certain elements in the artwork.<\/p>

A contemporary representation of the Cenacle<\/strong><\/p>

This work was created by Mr.Klevra, a street artist from the outskirts of Rome. It depicts the Cenacle. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Why was the Cenacle chosen for the feast of Mother Therese? The connection may seem surprising to some. Of course, one could explain it by the name of our Congregation and by the special place the Cenacle holds in our history and charism. But above all, this work invites us to embrace, through the contemporary perspective of an artist, the mystery of the Cenacle and what it can still tell us today. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Cenacle is the place where Jesus\u2019 disciples, gathered together after his Resurrection, received the Holy Spirit. It is also a place of communion, prayer, and being sent out on mission. <\/p>

Through his work, Mr. Klevra offers us a contemporary interpretation of this foundational event. His artistic vision allows us to contemplate the mystery of the Cenacle in a new light and to recognize in it something of our own mission within the Church. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

A Gift for the Bicentenary<\/strong><\/p>

This work is a beautiful gift to mark the 200th anniversary of our Congregation. It reminds us that the message of the Cenacle is not limited to an event of the past: it continues to nourish our lives and our mission today. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

During Mass, before the solemn blessing that concluded the celebration, the celebrant blessed the artwork. This gesture now enshrines this artistic creation in our lives. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The celebration then continued in a spirit of conviviality around a buffet.
