On May 15 and June 11, the sisters of the Congregation were invited to gather around the well of the sisters of Europe-Togo. The General Team had asked them to share their experience of putting their human resources in common when they transitioned from three Provinces into one in 2011.
In each session, five sisters shared from a particular perspective: for example, what it was like to serve in leadership and experience oneself as a human resource put in common, how it was to serve as a formator and to be a sister in formation in this new context, concrete experiences of the poverty and richness encountered in day-to-day life in an intercultural community, the challenge of embracing diversity while seeking also to maintain specificity and the complexity entailed in putting financial resources in common. In welcoming all this, one could truly echo the words of the woman at the well to Jesus in John 4: “Sir, this well is deep!” Here are a few echoes from the Sisters after listening to the testimonies of the sisters from Europe-Togo:
