Community homecoming

“Lord, stay with us”
Luke 24:29
October 10 to 12 marked the start of community life at the novitiate.
As we come from several dioceses and different ethnic groups, we are convinced that we are at the very heart of the intercultural experience. As a symbol of this, we used ribbons of different colors and wore our traditional dress to show our diversity. The congregation invites us to live it.
Session on Interculturality at the Inter-Novitiate
We were very interested to hear the sharings from the congregations taking part in the Inter-Novitiate. They were very rich and challenged us to deepen the way we live interculturality in our congregation. We’d like to mention here that in the General Council’s visit notebooks, we’ve been able to touch with our own hands the richness of cultures within the Congregation.

From what we’ve been able to share at home, we can say that this session is helping us to identify the culture of each of us, as well as the culture of our Congregation. It has also helped us identify the attitudes we need to develop to overcome obstacles and harmonize our differences. In any case, we live interculturality in our community through cultural sharing. We are very lucky to have participated in this session on interculturality at the inter-novitiate.
Sister Berthe (Sister Daughter of Wisdom), who gave us this session, told us a little about the Enneagram. She told us that she had been trained by Sister Marie Dolores of our Province of Europe-Togo; many thanks Marie Do, for the fruits of your efforts are reaching Madagascar. This session broadened our understanding of the meaning of “Limiting Belief”, which we discussed during the provincial visit to our community.
